Darmesteter, James fra A short study of the mentioning of Alexander the Great in the Avesta, the sacred book of Zoroastrianism, written by a French orientalist James Darmesteter (1849–1894). Darmesteter was a specialist for the Old Persian language, which he taught at the École des Hautes Études in Paris. He published a thesis on the mythology of the Avesta (1875) and several important works on similar subjects. Darmešteter je bio specijalista za staropersijski jezik, koji je učio u École des Hautes Études u Parizu. Objavio je tezu o mitologiji Aveste (1875) i nekoliko važnih dela na sličnu temu.
