The book is in fact Hoogstra’s doctoral dissertation, defended at the end of his studies of Dutch literature at the University of Leiden.

Knjiga je doktorska disertacija Hoogstra odbranjena na kraju njegovih studija holandske književnosti na Univerzitetu u Lajdenu.
