Hilka was the most active in the field of research of the old French and Medieval Latin literature. Hilka also published many richly annotated editions of important texts of Medieval Latin poetry. The study contains the text of an extended version of Epitome. Epitome is in the 9th century summarized Julius Valerius’ Latin translation of Pseudo-Callisthenes, and it was the principal source of the medieval French Roman d’Alexandre. Year of publishing: 1910.
