In the first article Fuchs analyze Der Große Seelentrost, a version of the medieval Alexander romance in Middle Low German (language that was spoken from about 1100 to 1600 and was the international lingua franca of the Hanseatic League), and in the second he writes about a fragment of one manusript of the Julius Valerius’ (a Latin translator of the Greek Pseudo-Callisthenes, 4th century AD) Res gestae Alexandri Macedonis.
