  <dc:description xml:lang="eng">A study of the Greek, Latin and old French manuscripts containing the Alexander romance (known also as Pseudo-Callisthenes) of the Bibliothèque nationale de France (at the time the Bibliothèque du roi) and some other important libraries, accompanied with several commented extracts from these manuscripts, written by Jules Berger de Xivrey (1801–1863), a French librarian and historian, who was regarded as a one of the greatest erudites of his time. Berger de Xivrey was the author of the great number of books and articles on various historical subjects and editor of the collections of the documents regarding the history of France.

  <dc:description xml:lang="srp">Studija o grčkim, latinskim i starim francuskim rukopisima, iz Nacionalne biblioteke Francuske (tada Kraljevska biblioteka) i drugih važnih biblioteka, koji sadrže Aleksandridu (takođe poznata i kao Pseudo-Kalisten), uz nekoliko komentara izvučenih iz ovih rukopisa. Studiju je napisao Žil Berže de Ksivrej (1801–1863), francuski bibliotekar i istoričar koji se smatra jednim od učenijih ljudi toga vremena. Berže de Ksivrej je autor velikog broja knjiga i članaka o različitim istorijskim temama i urednik kolekcije dokumenata o istoriji Francuske.</dc:description>
