    <ns1:description language="en">A critical edition of an episode the poem, written in the alliterative verses in the middle 14th century, which presents one of the English versions of the medieval Alexander romance, edited by a English philologist and lexicographer Walter William Skeat (1835–1912). Nothing is known of the author of this version of the poem. It was based on the Historia de preliis, the most widespread Latin medieval version of the Alexander romance.

O autoru epa ništa nije poznato. Zasnovan je na delu Historia de preliis, najrasprostranjenijoj srednjovekovnoj latinskoj verziji Romana o Aleksandru.
