  <dc:description xml:lang="eng">A critical edition of the Historia de preliis, edited by a German classical philologist and historian Gustav Landgraf (1857–1932). Historia de preliis is the most widespread Latin version of the Alexander romance in the Middle Ages. It is said to have been written by the Neapolitan Archpresbyter Leo (10th century), who was sent to Constantinople where he found his Greek original.

Historia de preliis je najrasporostranjenija latinska verzija Romana o Aleksandru u Srednjem veku. Pripisivana je Napolitancu arhiprezviteru Leu (10. vek), koji je navodno bio poslat u Konstantinopolj gde je pronašao grčki original.
