Ипак, дефинисање те групе није увек једноставно и јасно, а статус њених чланова, због тога, није стабилан. У жељи да ближе изучимо ову групу, саставили смо речнике вербалних асоцијација ученика од 2. до 8. разреда основних школа са српског говорног подручја за 20 репрезентативних именица које припадају групама које се обично третирају као апстрактне. Утврдићемо да ли се и како добијена асоцијативна поља поклапају с елементима дефиниција из описних речника, приближавају ли се једни другима како деца одрастају, као и одговарају ли речници пре асоцијацијама код дечака или код девојчица. Напослетку, даћемо – на основу добијених налаза, искуства у раду с вербалним асоцијацијама и увида у описне речнике трију других језика – препоруке које би се могле применити у даљем развоју српске лексикографије. Summary Abstract concepts, and the words that denote them – for the most part, nouns – form a group that has a long tradition of study in philosophy, psychology, linguistics, but whose definition is also encountered by children in elementary school. However, defining that group and the status of its members is not always simple or clear, and therefore not stable. In order to study this group more closely, we compiled dictionaries of word associations of elementary school pupils (2nd–8th grade) from the Serbian-speaking area. As stimuli, we used 20 nouns representative of groups most often seen as “abstract”. We will determine whether and how the obtained associative fields match the elements of definitions from the descriptive dictionaries, whether they approach each other as children grow up, as well as whether the dictionaries correspond to either the boys’ or girls’ associations.
