All rights reserved eng application/pdf 90218 bytes Šuvaković, Uroš Bagirova, Anna Readers certainly wonder how, at the time of general European Russophobia, the initiative was made to publish the special section in which the Serbian sociological community learns about contemporary sociological research in Russia, through five scientific articles with the participation of Serbian authors. The tradition of Serbian-Russian sociological cooperation has lasted for more than half a century (see Šuvaković, 2019). The merit for the intensive establishment of sociological cooperation between formerly socialist countries the USSR and the SFRY goes primarily to Professor Zinaida Tikhonovna Golenkova (1939) (on behalf of the Soviet, i.e., Russian side) and Professor Danilo Ž. Marković (1933-2018, on behalf of the Yugoslav, i.e., Serbian side). Professor Marković was the Yugoslav mentor of Professor Golenkova during her study stay in Belgrade for the purpose of writing the doctoral dissertation “Social-Class Structure of the Contemporary Yugoslav Society and its Reflection in the Socio-logical Literature of the SFRY” [“Социально-классовая структура современного югославского общества и ее отражение в социологической литературе СФРЮ”], defended at the Lomonosov Moscow State University3 . The cooperation initiated at that time continued with the involvement of many colleagues, the sociologists from both countries, through the publication of scientific papers in journals, the participation at scientific conferences in both countries, by translation of books, by participation in the editorial boards of journals, program boards of scientific gatherings etc. The cooperation did not lose its intensity even in the period of the disintegration of the USSR and the SFRY. These countries disappeared but the scientific cooperation persisted. At the end of the last year, though Professor Siniša Atlagić, the leader of the Centre for Russian Studies at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Belgrade, Professor Šuvaković was invited by Professor A. K. Klyuev, Dean of the School of Public Administration and Entrepreneurship, the Ural Federal University from Yekaterinburg, to visit this University and deliver a plenary lecture at the international scientific conference organized there, a guest lecture to the students of this School, and to make a presentation at a panel discussion of the Russian-Serbian seminar in which the social science researchers from Russia, Serbia and Republic Srpska participated (online). Professor Atlagić and Professor Šuvaković gladly accepted this invitation and for several days took part on different scientific activities organized by their Russian colleagues. That was an opportunity for strengthening old and establishing new scientific acquaintances and agreements about cooperation. One of the most specific agreements was in relation to the publication of this thematic block in the Sociološki pregled / Sociological Review, while the signatories of this editorial did their best to provide the texts representing a broad range of sociological research in today’s Russia, as well as competent reviewers from both countries. In order to ensure mutual understanding and enable some kind of comparison (which is not easy for many reasons, not least due to the disproportion in the number of sociological communities in the two countries), the authors from Russia were joined by authors from Serbia who are engaged in similar research. This resulted in the thematic block “Sociological Research in Contemporary Russia” with five scientific articles which we now leave to the critical insight of the Russian, Serbian and world sociological communities. At the same time, we hope that our scientific cooperation will continue in other ways as well, with the involvement of other sociologists from our countries. We also invite the readers of the Sociološki pregled / Sociological Review to join the work of the Russian-Serbian Scientific Seminar on Social Sciences, the next meeting of which will be devoted to the presentation and discussion of research published in this issue of our Journal. Читаоци се свакако питају како је у време опште европске русофобије дошло до иницијативе за објављивање тематског блока којим се српска социолошка заједница упознаје са савременим социолошким истраживањима у Русији, и то кроз пет научних чланака које су писали и српски аутори. Традиција српско-руске социолошке сарадње траје дуже од пола века (в. Šuvaković, 2019). За интензивно успостављање социолошке сарадње између тадашњих социјалистичких земаља СССР-а и СФРЈ заслужни су професори Зинаида Тихонова Голенкова (1939) (са совјетске, тј. руске стране) и Данило Ж. Марковић (1933–2018, са југословенске, тј. српске стране). Професор Марковић је био са југословенске стране ментор професорки Голенковој приликом њеног студијског боравка у Београду ради израде докторске дисертације „Друштвено-класна структура савременог југословенског друштва и њен одраз у социолошкој литератури СФРЈ“, коју је она одбранила на Lomonosov Moscow State University3 . Сарадњу коју су тада започели наставили су уз укључивање бројних колега, социолога из обе земље, објављивањем научних чланака у часописима, учешћем на научним конференцијама у обе државе, превођењем књига, кроз учешће у редакцијама часописа, програмским одборима научних скупова, итд. Интензитет и разноврсност сарадње нису јењавали ни у периоду дезинтеграције СССР-а и СФРЈ. Земље су нестале, али се научна сарадња одржала. Крајем прошле године, посредством професора Синише Атлагића, који на Факултету политичких наука Универзитета у Београду руководи Центром за руске студије, професору Шуваковићу стигао је позив од професора А. К. Кљујев, декана Факултета за јавну управу и предузетништво Уралског федералног универзитета (ИнЭУ УрФУ) из Јекатеринбурга, да посети овај Универзитет и одржи пленарно предавање на међународној научној конференцији која се тамо организује, гостујуће предавање студентима овог Факултета и учествује на Руско-српском семинару, са излагањем, на коме су онлајн учествовали истраживачи из области друштвених наука из Русије, Србије и Републике Српске. Професори Атлагић и Шуваковић су се радо одазвали оваквом позиву и неколико дана учествовали у различитим научним активностима које су руске колеге организовале. То је била прилика за учвршћивање старих4 и успостављање нових научних познанстава, али и да се постигну договори о даљој сарадњи. Један од најконкретнијих договора био је везан за објављивање овог тематског блока у Социолошком прегледу, а потписници овог уводника су се ангажовали да обезбеде текстове који репрезентују широк спектар социолошких истраживања у савременој Русији, као и компетентне рецензенте из обе земље. Како би спознаја била обострана и омогућено поређење (што није једноставно, између осталог и због несразмере у бројности социолошких заједница две земље), ауторима из Русије прикључили су се аутори из Србије који се баве сличним истраживањима. Резултат је тематски блок „Социолошка истраживања у савременој Русији“, са пет научних чланака, које препуштамо на критички увид руској, српској и светској социолошкој заједници. Истовремено, изражавамо наду да ће се наша научна сарадња наставити, уз укључивање већег броја социолога из обе земље.
