    <ns1:description language="sr">Apstrakt. Promena fokusa sa održivosti na cirkularnost postavila je dodatne zahteve pred globalne lance snabdevanja. Prema tome, promena obrazaca ponašanja u kontekstu cirkularne ekonomije više se ne dovodi u pitanje. Pitanje je samo ko će preuzeti lidersku poziciju u procesu transformacije sa linearne na cirkularnu ekonomiju. Cilj rada je prepoznavanje potencijala maloprodaje u poduhvatu implementacije cirkularnih poslovnih modela. Mogućnost dodeljivanja liderske pozicije maloprodavcima u procesu povećanja cirkularnosti lanca snabdevanja proizilazi iz njihovog položaja u lancu u odnosu na uzvodne i nizvodne partnere. Maloprodaja, omogućavanjem i intenziviranjem povratnih tokova, ali i otvaranjem petlje u lancu snabdevanja, povećava cirkularnost upstream lanca snabdevanja. Takođe, opcije za stimulisanje cirkularne aktivnosti potrošača, koje su u nadležnosti maloprodavaca, posebno su značajne za povećanje cirkularnosti downstream lanca snabdevanja</ns1:description>
    <ns1:description language="en">Abstract. Changing the focus from sustainability to circularity has placed additional demands on global supply chains. Thus, changes in behaviour patterns in the context of the circular economy are no longer questioned. The only question is who will take the leadership position in the transformation process from a linear to a circular economy. The aim of this paper is to identify the potential of retail in the endeavour to implement circular business models. The possibility of assigning a leadership position to retailers in the process of increasing the circularity of the supply chain arises from their position in the chain relative to upstream and downstream partners. Retail, by enabling and intensifying reverse flows and closing the loop in the supply chain, increases the circularity of the upstream supply chain. Additionally, the options for stimulating consumer circular activity, which are within the purview of retailers, are particularly significant for increasing the circularity of the downstream supply chain. </ns1:description>
