The pathogenesis of AD involves a complex interplay between generic, environmental, and immunological factors, leading to skin barrier dysfunction and immune dysregulation. Recent studies suggest that extracellular vesicles derived from placental trophoblast cells (TEVs), may have immunomodulatory properties. </ns1:description>
