    <ns1:title language="en">Forming a Set and Verification of Relevance Criteria on Evaluation of Alternative Corridors of the Infrastructure Facilities </ns1:title>

    <ns1:description language="en">Abstract: Most of the models, which are already few in number, for selecting the optimal spatial solution of linear infrastructure corridor objects are based on evaluation criteria whose relevance has not been verified. Since the set of criteria is the starting point for developing a hierarchical decision-making model for evaluating and selecting the optimal spatial solution of corridors, the relevance of the optimal solution chosen by a model based on such criteria is highly questionable. This paper presents a model for forming a set of evaluation criteria for alternative spatial solutions of linear infrastructure corridor objects, including their identification, derivation, clustering, and verification of their relevance. The model consists of two interconnected and complex steps. In the first step, a set of preliminary decision criteria is formed, through four similarly complex sub-steps. In the second step, with the help of statistical methods such as surveys, descriptive statistics, and most importantly, factor analysis, the relevance of each criterion from the preliminary set is verified individually, as well as the hierarchical decision-making model, by verifying its factors formed based on that set of criteria. This process yields the final set of relevant decision criteria.
