  <dc:description xml:lang="srp">Apstrakt: Prema Viktoru Berginu (Victor Burgin), teorija umetnosti podrazumeva praksu pisanja koja dovodi u pitanje pretpostavke zdravora-zumskih polazišta i stavova u i o umetnosti. Reč je o praksi koja označava/zamagljuje granicu između »čiste« umetničke prakse (izlagačka praksa) i teorije (spekulacija ili apstraktno znanje), ispitujući svrhovitost umetnosti i/ili vrednosti koje ona otelovljuje ili kojima služi. Eksplozija teorijske prakse dogodila se u Zapadnoj Evropi tokom sedamdesetih godina, kada je umetnička kritika, kao zdravorazumska i teleološka refleksija o umet-nosti, demonstrirala ozbiljne znake krize. Zadatak ovog teksta je da trasira kontekstualno-istorijski pojavu, recepciju i kulturalnu funkciju/e teorije umetnosti/umetnika umetnosti i kulture, uporednom analizom različitih svetova umetnosti sa stanovišta kritičke političke ekonomije.</dc:description>
  <dc:description xml:lang="eng">Abstract: According to Victor Burgin, the theory of art involves the prac-tice of writing that calls into question the assumptions of the common sense standpoints in and about art. It is a practice that marks/blurs the border between »pure« artistic practices (exhibition practices) and theory (scientific speculation or abstract knowledge), examining the relevance of art and/or values that it embodies or to which it serves. The explosion of the theoretical practice occurred in Western Europe during the seventies, when the art criticism – as common sense and teleological reflection of art, demonstrated the serious signs of crisis. The aim of this paper is to trace contextual-historically, phenomenon, reception and cultural functi-on of art/artist theory, by comparative analysis of the different (geo-graphical) art worlds from the standpoint of the critique of political eco-nomy.</dc:description>
