Утврђујемо најзначајније промене у научним приступима детињству и књижевности за децу и младе у XXI веку. Савремена књижевност за децу постоји у проширеном пољу и често излази из равни текстуалне књиге, својом хибридношћу, прекорачењем граница и кретањем ка новим медијима: визуелном наративу, филму, видео-игри. Због тога и наука о књижевности за децу постаје интердисциплинарна и интермедијална. Савремену науку усмерио је својим радом Јован Љуштановић, вероватно најважнија фигура у проучавању овог научног поља у XXI веку. Указујемо на неке карактеристичне истраживачке фокусе који се тичу не само опредељења за новију научну методологију, већ и за жанровска подручја и феномене. Тиме формирамо једну могућу (свакако не и једину) врсту пресека стања савремене српске науке о књижевности. Summary: In this paper we have dealt with the indication of the contradictions facing the study of children and young adult literature, as well as in position between the center and margins that this branch of science on literature occupies. We determined the most significant changes in scientific approaches to childhood in the 21st century. Contemporary children’s literature exists in an extended field and often comes out of a flat text book, with their hybridity, border crossing and movement towards new media: visual narrative, f ilm, video game. Therefore, the science of children and young adult literature becomes interdisciplinary and intermediate.The work of Jovan Ljuštanović, probably the most important figure in the study of this scientific f ield in the 21st century affected its direction. We pointed out some characteristic research focuses that concern not only commitments for a newer scientific methodology, but also for genre areas and phenomena. We compose one (certainly not the only) possible type of cross-sections of the state of modern Serbian science on literature.
