Globalni fenomen turskih televizijskih serija (Türk dizileri, Turkish dizies)
zahteva šire razumevanje medijskog, ekonomskog, društvenog i političkog
konteksta njihove produkcije, distribucije i recepcije. U radu se razmatraju
pitanja u vezi sa diziler žanrom, formatom i temama, s ciljem da se ukaže na
okolnosti razvoja njegove popularnosti i transformacije. Shodno tome, posebna
pažnja je usmerena na pitanja u vezi s različitim aspektima recepcije turskih
diziler-a, koja se, između ostalog, odnose i na neoosmanizam, osmanomaniju
i meku moć turskih serija. Savremeni trenutak označen u mnogim medijskim
studijama kao zlatno doba televizijskih serija, jednim delom fokusiran je na
uspon turske televizije. Samim tim, osnovni zadatak ovog rada jeste da ponudi
bolje razumevanje (trans)nacionalnih aspekata ove medijske sile, fokusirajući
se (delimično i na) kritičko preispitivanje njihovih serija kao jednog od elemenata današnje turske geopolitičke perspektive.</dc:description>
  <dc:description xml:lang="eng">Abstract
The global phenomenon of Turkish television series (Türk dizileri, Turkish dizies)
requires a broader understanding of the media, economic, social and political
context of their production, distribution and reception. This paper analyses the
diziler genre, its format and themes, with the aim of interpreting its popularity
development and transformation. The paper focuses on issues related to various
aspects of the reception of Turkish dizies, which also refer to neo-Ottomanism,
Ottomania and the soft power of Turkish series. The contemporary moment in
many media studies is marked as the golden age of television series and the rise
of Turkish television is a part of this trend. Therefore, the main task of this paper
is to offer a better understanding of the (trans)national aspects of Turkey as new
media power, focusing (partly) on a critical view of their television series as one
of the elements of today’s Turkish geopolitical perspective.</dc:description>
