o:29984 Етимолошка метафора у административном дискурсу Etymological metaphor in administrative discourse sr Sažetak: У представљању апстрактнијих појмова, метафорички процес се чини неизбежним. Да би се то у пуној и правој мери показало, неопходан је етимолошки приступ. У овом раду се, на примеру лексике административног (бирократског) дискурса, значења неких лексема које су, према речницима савременог језика, употребљене у свом основном смислу, (пре)испитују с обзиром на етимологију. Тако се идентификују метафоре чији изворни појам одговара етимолошком значењу, а циљни актуелном значењу лексема. Утврђују се њихове везе са неким појмовним метафорама познатим из литературе, као и неке појмовне метафоре које тамо нисмо нашли. Закључује се, пре свега, да су те познате појмовне метафоре и бар неке новоидентификоване у употреби стотинама година, те да је праћење етимолошког развоја од изузетног је значаја за проучавање метафоре, јер омогућава утврђивање (често заборављених) корена метафоричког мишљења, постављајући тако основу за правилно схватање и објашњење како тог битног когнитивног процеса тако и одговарајућих језичких појединости. Abstract: In the representation of more abstract concepts, the metaphorical process seems indispensable. In order to demonstrate this conclusively and convincingly, an etymological approach is needed. Therefore, in this paper, based on the example of the administrative (bureaucratic) discourse lexis, the meanings of the lexemes which are, according to the dictionaries of contemporary language, used in their literal sense are (re)considered with regard to etymology. This way, we identify metaphors which have, as their source concept, the etymological lexeme meaning and, as the target concept, the contemporary lexeme meaning. We establish relations with some conceptual metaphors known from the literature, as well as some conceptual metaphors that are not to be found there. We conclude, first and foremost, that these well-known conceptual metaphors and at least some newly identified ones have been in use for hundreds of years, and that tracing their etymological development is of exceptional significance for metaphor studies, as it allows for the establishment of the roots of metaphoric thinking, and, thus, setting the basis for the correct understanding and explanation of this major cognitive process, as well as the corresponding linguistic particularities.
