Јанићијевић, Марко application/pdf 724946 bytes Сажетак: У раду се са аспекта теорије појмовне метафоре испитује однос (дезактуелизованог) етимолошког и актуелног значења префиксираних латинизама у српском и енглеском језику како би се утврдиле метафоре чији изворни појам одговара етимолошком значењу, а циљни актуелном значењу латинизама. Проверава се постоје ли метафоре чијим повезивањем се могу открити појмовне метафоре које потпадају под метафору структуре догађаја, као метафору генеричког нивоа. Идентификују се појмовне метафоре структуре догађаја које су познате из когнитивнолингвистичке литературе као активне у синхронији, као и метафоре структуре догађаја које не налазимо у поменутој литератури, али за које изналазимо примере који их потврђују и у синхронији. Упоредо је спроведена и контрастивна анализа реализације тих појмовних метафора у латинизмима у српском и енглеском. На тај начин, у прилог теорији утеловљене когниције, метафора структуре догађаја потврђује се у српском, енглеском и латинском језику, у синхронији и дијахронији, и то високим степеном константности појмовнометафоричких и сличности језичкометафоричких односа. Abstract: Etymological word structure is seldom taken into account in the cognitive linguistic study of metaphor. Striving to render theory of conceptual metaphor more profound, we examine the relationship between (disactualized) etymological and actual meanings of prefixed Latinisms in Serbian and English language with a view to find metaphors whose source concept corresponds to the etymological meaning, while their target concept corresponds to the actual meaning of Latinisms. Specifically, we investigate whether there are metaphors whose relationship would reveal conceptual metaphors that instantiate the Event- Structure metaphor which, being a (system of) generic-level metaphor that derives from bodily experience, lays claim to omnicultural presence. We identify the Event-Structure metaphors known from the cognitive linguistic literature to be active in synchrony, as well as those Event-Structure metaphors which we do not find in the literature, but for which we ourselves provide instantiations in synchrony as well. Simultaneously, a contrastive analysis of the realization of these conceptual metaphors by the analyzed Latinisms in Serbian (with reference also to the Croatian standard) and English is conducted taking conceptual metaphors of higher level of abstraction as tertia comparationis. Attention is also payed to the points in time when the metaphorical meanings had emerged. The results suggest that Event-Structure metaphors active today have in fact been in use for hundreds, even thousands of years, and that tracing of etymological development is of exceptional importance for studying the very nature and origin of metaphorical thought. The Event-Structure metaphor is confirmed in Serbian, English and Latin, in synchrony and diachrony, with high degree of conceptual metaphor constancy and linguistic metaphor similarity. This can be seen as a further affirmation of the embodied cognition thesis, which holds that our mind and conceptual construction of reality is largely mediated by our species-specific bodies and their interaction with the habitual envirnoment. srp eng НАУКА И СТВАРНОСТ: Зборник радова са научног скупа (Пале, 21.
