2013 Vesić, Violeta Sažetak : Ovaj rad se bavi istraživanjem filozofsko-religijskih stavova Tomasa Pejna u delu Doba razuma. U ovom pamfletu Pejn kritikuje organizovanu religiju, instituciju crkve i dovodi u pitanje legitimnost Biblije. On izražava verovanje da bi boga trebalo upoznati kroz moć opažanja, razum i iskustvo. Iako dovodi do oživljavanja teorije deizma, i postaje manifest za sve one generacije slobodnih mislilaca, koje su vremenom dolazile, ovaj pamflet nailazi na zbunjenost i odbojnost kod mnogih prvobitnih pristalica i čitalaca njegovih dela. Abstract: This paper is a study about philosophical and religious attitudes in Thomas Paine’s pamphlet Age of Reason. In this pamphlet Paine criticizes organized religion, the institution of the church and questions the legitimacy of the Bible. He expresses his belief that God should be introduced through the power of perception, reason and experience. While leading to revival of the theory of deism, and becoming a manifest for all the generations of free thinkers that were coming over period of time, this pamphlet faces confusion and resentment among many of the original supporters and readers of his works.
