    <ns1:description language="sr">Apstrakt
U članku se postavlja pitanje „filmičnosti” proze Dostojevskog, kao i različitih
oblika njenih ekranizacija i filmskih adaptacija. Problematizuje se kategorizacija
izvorne građe koju čine dugometražni, kratkometražni igrani,
dokumentarni i crtani filmovi, kao i televizijske serije. Ističe se značaj pozorišnih
predstava Moskovskog hudožestvenog teatra u režiji Vladimira Nemirovič-
Dančenka Braća Karamazovi i Nikolaj Stavrogin, kao i predstave
pariskog Teatra umetnosti Braća Karamazovi u dramatizaciji i režiji Žaka
Kopoa i Žana Krujea. Govori se o uticaju ovih predstava na evoluciju pozorišno-
filmskih transformacija proze Dostojevskog, od žanrovskih, kriminalističko-
ljubavnih melodrama do složenih filozofskih predstava i autorskih
filmova. Daje se pregled filmskih adaptacija, kritičkih osvrta, kao i teorijskih
analiza dela F. M. Dostojevskog u vreme nemog filma.

    <ns1:description language="en">Abstract
This text addresses the question of the “cinematic potential” of Dostoevsky’s
prose and elucidates various forms of adapting Dostoevsky’s works for stage
and screen Also, it problematizes the categorisation of the source material,
including feature, short feature, and documentary films, cartoons, and
television series. The importance of the stage adaptation of The Brothers
Karamazov and Nikolai Stavrogin at the Moscow Art Theatre under the
direction of Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko, and the production of the
Frères Karamazov written and directed by Jacques Copeau and Jean Croué,
at the Théâtre du Vieux-Colombier in Paris are stressed. The article examines
the influence of these plays on the evolution of theatrical and cinematic
transpositions of Dostoevsky’s prose from genre crime/romance melodramas
to complex philosophical plays and arthouse films. An overview of cinematic
adaptations, critical reviews, as well as theoretical analyses of Dostoevsky’s
works in the silent film era are provided.</ns1:description>
