o:28828 Uticaj stranih direktnih investicija na izvozne performanse i platni bilans Srbije The impact of foreign direct investment on export performance and balance of payments of Serbia sr Apstrakt: Priliv stranih direktnih investicija (SDI) u domaću privredu omogućio je povećanjne izvoza, jer strane kompanije svoje proizvode uglavnom prodaju na svetskom tržištu. Neke strane kompanije koje proizvode u našoj zemlji, uvoze sirovine i repromaterijale koji su superiorniji u odnosu na moguću domaću ponudu ovih proizvoda. Međutim, u nekim slučajevima strani investitori angažuju domaća mala i srednja preduzeća (MSP) kao isporučioce za određene delove i komponente. Za našu privredu je sve značajnija veza između SDI i domaćih MSP, kako bi se ostvarilo prelivanje tehnologije i upravljačkih znanja iz stranih kompanija na domaća preduzeća. Ujedno je to put za povećanje dodate vrednosti domaćeg izvoza i mogućnost da MSP deo svoje proizvodnje izvezu na strano tržište. U radu se ukazuje na potrebu i mogićnosti povećanja domaćeg robnog izvoza u narednim godinama. Porast izvoza treba da omogući smanjivanje robnog deficita uz ublažavanje pritiska preostalog deficita na tekući račun. U ovom radu se takođe analizira uticaj dohotka od SDI na platni bilans Srbije i ukazuje na tačku preokreta kad SDI počinju negativno da deluju na platni bilans. U radu se ispituju tendencije neto piliva SDI i njihova povezanost sa finansiranjem deficita tekućeg računa. Nalazi u radu dokazuju značajno prisustvo stranog kapitala u domaćoj privredi, oličeno u velikom iznosu dužničke neto međunarodne investicione pozicije Srbije. Na osnovu ovih nalaza u radu se predlaže jače povezivanje subvencija stranim investitorima sa prilivom SDI u izvozne sektore privrede. Abstract: The foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows into domestic economy has enabled exports growth, because foreign companies mainly sell their products on the world market. Some companies that produce in our country, imports raw materials that are superior to the possible domestic offer of these products. However, in some cases foreign investors engage domestic SMEs as suppliers for certain parts and components. For our economy, there is an increasingly important link between FDI and domestic SMEs in order to achieve technology spillovers and transfer of managerial skills from foreign companies to domestic companies. It is also a way to increase domestic value added in exports and enhance the ability of the SMEs to export part of their production. The paper points to the need and possibilities of increasing domestic merchandise exports in the coming years. The increase in exports should help to reduce a trade deficit, while reducing the pressure of the remaining deficit to the current account. This paper also analyzes the impact of FDI income on Serbia‘s balance of payments and points to a turning point when FDIs start negatively affect the balance of payments. The paper examines the trends of the net FDI inflow and their connection with the financing of the current account deficit. Findings in the paper confirm the significant presence of foreign capital in the domestic economy, reflected in the large negative net international investment position of Serbia. On the basis of these findings, the proposal suggests stronger links bet- veen subsidies to foreign investors and FDI inflows into tradable sectors.
