u pet zemalja regiona: Srbiji, Crnoj Gori, Severnoj Makedoniji, Bosni i Hercegovini i
Albaniji.
tom progresu u procesu tranzicije.
<dc:description xml:lang="eng">Abstract: The transition process has begun three decades ago. All transition economies
had similar starting points, but it is the strategy they have selected and the pace of
reforms that have yielded different results by the country. The paper reviews the
transition progress in five selected countries in the region: Serbia, Montenegro, North
Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Albania. When it comes to transition
progress, countries in the region lag far behind the countries in Central Europe.
Therefore, the paper addresses the factors of (un)successfulness of the transition
process and communicates concrete recommendations that the studied countries should
follow in order to reduce their lagging behind both some of the advanced transition
economies and EU countries.</dc:description>
