    <ns1:description language="sr">U ovoj studiji su sintetisane tri serije uzoraka na bazi: 2-hidroksietil metakrilata (HEMA), 2-hidroksietil akrilata (HEA), itakonske kiseline (IK) i poli(vinil pirolidona) (PVP). Sintetisani su reakcijom umrežavanja/polimerizacije preko slobodnih radikala. Prva serija predstavlja hidrogelove na bazi 2-hidroksietil metakrilata, poli(vinil pirolidona) i itakonske kiseline, pri čemu je variran udeo poli(vinil pirolidona). Druga serija su hidrogelovi na bazi 2-hidroksietil akrilata, poli(vinil pirolidona) i itakonske kiseline, variran je udeo itakonske kiseline. Treća serija sintetisanih uzoraka su na bazi 2-hidroksietil akrilata, poli(vinil pirolidona) i itakonske kiseline, variran je udeo poli(vinil pirolidona). Udeo komponenata je variran radi ispitivanja uticaja na strukturu, bubrenje u fluidima pH vrednosti podešenim da imitiraju fiziološke uslove i da pokažu „inteligentno“ ponašanje, difuziona, mehanička svojstva hidrogelova, kao i na antimikrobna svojstva i biokompatibilnost hidrogelova. Poli(vinil pirolidon) je linearni polimer koji pokazuje zadovoljavajuću biokompatibilnost i hidrofilnost, i nalazi značajnu primenu kao polimerni biomaterijal u medicini i farmaciji. Itakonska kiselina daje pH osetljivo “inteligentno“ ponašanje, i doprinosi hidrofilnosti. Hidrogelovi na bazi HEMA i HEA pokazuju izuzetnu biokompatibilnost i visoku hidrofilnost.
Sve tri serije uzoraka su pokazale zadovoljavajuću citokompatibilnost, kao i antimikrobna svojstva, ispitana prema mikrobima koji su najčešći uzročnici infekcija. Na osnovu detaljnih ispitivanja i dobijenih rezultata može se zaključiti da novosintetisani polimerni biomaterijali predstavljaju materijale koji mogu imati potencijalnu primenu u biomedicini.</ns1:description>
    <ns1:description language="en">In this study, three series of samples were synthesized based on 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA), 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA), itaconic acid (IA), and poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP). Syntheses were performed by free radical crosslinking/polymerization reaction. The first serie represented hydrogels based on 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, poly (vinyl pyrrolidone) and itaconic acid, varying of poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) content. The second serie of samples were hydrogels based on 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) and itaconic acid, varying of of itaconic acid content. The third serie of synthesized samples were based on 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, poly(vinyl pyrrolidone), and itaconic acid, varying of poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) content. The content of component was varied in order to examine the impact of the structure, pH- and temperature-sensitive swelling-&quot;intelligent&quot; behavior, diffusional, mechanical properties of hydrogels, as well as antimicrobial and biocompatible potential of hydrogels. Poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) is a linear polymer, which show satisfactory biocompatibility and hydrofilicity. Itaconic acid gives pH-sensitive-&quot;intelligent&quot; behavior and better hydrophilicity. Hydrogels based on HEMA and HEA show excellent biocompatibility and satisfactory hydrophilicity. All three series of samples showed satisfactory cytocompatibility, as well as the antimicrobial potential tested against most common microbes. The results obtained and presented in this doctoral dissertation can contribute to the development of new efficient polymeric biomaterials for biomedical applications.</ns1:description>
