<dc:description xml:lang="eng">The accusative case is used to designate the object of a verb in a verbal sentence, as well as being the case used for creating adverbs from nouns and adjectives. Its most common marker is a short vowel -a placed at the end of the word. The genitive case is the most common case in Arabic, as a result of the fact that it is used to indicate the objects of all prepositions. The marker used to indicate the genitive case in most instances is a short vowel -i placed at the end of the word.
