Тај развојни пут представљен је кроз анализу репрезентативних примера из позоришних комада Жан-Пола Сартра (Jean-Paul Sartre), Албера Камија (Albert Camus), Ежена Јонеска (Eugène Ionesco) и Самјуела Бекета (Samuel Beckett). На почетку је дефинисан појам антихероја у историји књижевности и позоришта, а затим је утврђена разлика између њега и специфичног позоришног јунака ког проналазимо у егзистенцијалистичком позоришту и театру апсурда. Образложено је зашто смо овог јунака ипак одредили као антихероја, а не као хероја. У првом делу дисертације приказано је рођење антихероја из Сартрове филозофије егзистенцијализма, а затим је укратко дат преглед Сартровог, Камијевог, Бекетовог и Јонесковог позоришта... This thesis deals with the evolution of the antihero from the existentialist theater to the theater of the absurd. This path is demonstrated through the analysis of the representative examples of theater plays written by Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, Eugène Ionesco and Samuel Beckett. At the very beginning we defined the term antihero and we positioned it in the history of literature and theater. Then, we determined the difference between the traditional antihero and the specific protagonist of existentialist theater and of the theater of the absurd. It is explained why we consider this protagonist to be antihero rather than hero.
