<dc:description xml:lang="eng">Arabic has three cases: according to Western classification, the nominative, the accusative and the genitive. The nominative is used to mark the noun which is the subject of a sentence. The sign of nominative is generally a final short vowel -u, although in some cases other endings must be used.
