  <dc:description xml:lang="eng">Imam Shafi&apos;i (d. 204 A.H./ 820 C.E.) also taught linguistics, poetry and genealogy, and debated people who were fanatically following their madhahib (schools of thought). Most of them were of the Maliki school of thought. They saw in him a wise and pious man so acquainted with their madhahib but without any fanaticism. Through him, they were able to see their flaws, and learned toseek the truth wherever it was.</dc:description>

A.H./ 820. n.e) je bio učitelj i na planu lingvistike, poezije i genealogije i raspravljao je sa ljudima koji su sledili svoje madhabe (škole filozofije). Većina njih pripadala je malikijskoj filozofskoj školi. Njega su smatrali mudrim i pobožnim čovekom koji je bio upoznat sa njihovim školama, ali bez fanatizma. Preko njega su mogli da uvide vlastite nedostatke i da nauče da tragaju za istinom ma gde ona bila.</dc:description>
