Метафоричка пресликавања формулисана су на основу анализе проширења значења једног скупа лексема које означавају елементе кретања по путањи у енглеском и српском. Истраживање је имало неколико циљева: да се утврде и формулишу метафоричка пресликавања заснована на схеми ПУТАЊЕ у енглеском и српском језику, да се утврде области апстрактног искуства које се структурирају помоћу анализираних елемената схеме ПУТАЊЕ у енглеском и српском језику, као и начин на који се унутрашња логика схеме ПУТАЊЕ преноси на структурирање домена апстрактног искуства у два језика, да се утврде сличности и разлике у језичкој реализацији појмовних метафора заснованих на схеми ПУТАЊЕ у енглеском и српском језику, као и да се енглески и српски упореде у погледу заступљености концептуализације различитих апстрактних домена помоћу елемената схеме ПУТАЊЕ које изражавају анализиране лексеме... The thesis is aimed at exploring the metaphorical mappings based on the PATH image schema in English and Serbian. Metaphorical mappings were formulated based on the analysis of meaning extension of a set of lexemes that denote the elements of motion along the path in English and Serbian. There were several research goals: to determine and formulate the metaphorical mappings based on the PATH image schema in English and Serbian, to determine the fields of abstract experience structured via the analysed elements of the PATH image schema in English and Serbian, as well as the way in which the internal logic of the PATH image schema is transferred to the structuring of abstract domains in the two languages, to determine the similarities and differences in the linguistic realisation of the conceptual metaphors based on the PATH image schema in English and Serbian and to compare the two languages with respect to the prevalence of conceptualisation of different abstract domains via the PATH schema elements expressed by the analysed lexemes...
