Овај рад разматра урок, благослов и клетву, феномене који се заснивају на магији речи и њиховој способности да покрену „више силе", те утичу на догађаје и људе. С временом се удаљавају од обредне праксе и добијају поетско значење: сликају карактер јунака, емотивну основу сукоба и најбитније сегменте радње. Истраживање је засновано на компаративној анализи најуспешнијих варијаната изабраног корпуса. У раду је показано да кратке форме - благослов и клетва имају велику интегративну моћ. Оне утичу на структуру жанра у који се интегришу, али се и саме мењају под утицајем поетике лирско-епских песама (балада и романси). Тај однос је динамичан. This paper considers spell,blessing and curse, phenomena based on the magic of words, and the ability of words to start higher forces and influence the events and people. The research is based on comparative analysis of most relevant examples from the chosen corpus of poetry. In time, they have diverged from the ceremonial practice and got a poetical meaning: they depict the character of a hero, emotional basis of the conflict and the most important segments of the plot. This work demonstrates that the short forms ‒ blessings and curses are empowered with a great integrational power. They have an impact on the structure of the genre they are integrated into, but they also change themselves under the influence of the poetics of lyrical-epic poems (ballads and romances). That relation is dynamic.
