  <dc:description xml:lang="srp">Gramatičari klasičnog arapskog jezika dele gramatiku na pet ogranaka: jezik/leksika (al-lugah) bavi se skupljanjem i tumačenjem rečnika, morfologiju (at-tasrif) koja određuje oblik pojedinačnih reči, sintaksu (an-nahw) koja se pre svega bavi inflekcijom koja se već izgubila u dijalaktima, derivaciju (al-ištiqaq) koja proučava poreklo reci i retoriku (al-balagah) koja se bavi kvalitetom gradnje.
